Michael Pope has been the Executive Director of the Greenbelt Land Trust since 2010. He holds a BS, MS, and PhD in Wildlife Science from OSU. As a wildlife biologist, he conducted research on marbled murrelets, black bear, Roosevelt elk, sage, ruffed and blue grouse and mountain quail. Michael was a Research Assistant and Faculty Research Associate at Oregon State University in the Fisheries and Wildlife Department from 1989-2004. He also worked for the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife as the Wildlife Mitigation Coordinator and as the Oregon Conservation Strategy Coordinator. Michael attended a Boatbuilding School for two years in Maine during the 1970s and was a professional boat builder in Maine, Maryland, Washington and Alaska from 1976-1987. He is married with one child who is a botanist, organic farmer and musician. His wife is a computer analyst and potter.
Jeff Baker

Jeff Baker joined the Greenbelt Land Trust in 2008, as the Stewardship Manager, after working nine years as a biologist for a Native American tribe in western Oregon where he worked on fish, wildlife, rare plants, habitat and environmental projects. Jeff has a B.S. in Wildlife Science and an M.S. in Geography from Oregon State University. Outside of work Jeff likes to explore the outdoors and work around the house with his wife and daughter.
Claire Fiegener

Claire Fiegener has worked for the Greenbelt Land Trust since 2002, in a variety of roles and is currently the Special Projects Manager. She holds a BS in Natural Resource Planning with a minor in Appropriate Technology, from Humboldt State University. Claire has spent time working with farmers in the central valley of California to reduce their dependence on chemical inputs, as an exhibit guide for a hands-on science center for children, as a director of an appropriate technology organization, and as a farm hand in New Zealand and Italy. She enjoys playing music, gardening, experiencing nature, working on crafts and most of all spending time with her twin sons and husband.
Stephan Friedt

Stephan Friedt has been the Greenbelt Land Trust’s Office manager since 2005. Stephan has spent 25 years in retail and warehouse work primarily in management. He has been trained in Information Technology and has worked as an IT manager and as an end-user consultant. Stephan has also indulged his outside interests for the last 40 years as a comicbook historian, both with published magazine articles and for 9 years as a Database Administrator for an industry-recognized website. Stephan is a 25 year resident of Oregon, with 20 of those in Corvallis/Albany area. He has been married to a Corvallis native, Carla (An OSU Admissions Evaluator), for 21 years and has two daughters.

Steve Lilly has worked at the Greenbelt Land Trust since 2006, as the Outreach Coordinator, after moving from Charlottesville, VA, in 2005. Steve works as the Outreach Coordinator. He received a B.A. in Speech Communications from Old Dominion University in 1992. After working for a few years in the media and publishing field, Mr. Lilly transitioned his career into conservation when he began his current job at Greenbelt Land Trust. During his spare time, Steve volunteers with wildlife care and rescue at Chintimini Wildlife Center. He also enjoys professional baseball, reading non-fiction, cooking, nature hikes, traveling.
Jessica McDonald

Jessica McDonald is the Greenbelt Land Trust’s Development Director, having joined the organization in Spring 2009 after working in non-profit development in New Mexico and New York. Jessica holds a BA in English Literature from Oregon State University and an MA in Classics from St. John’s College. At Greenbelt Jessica oversees the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and outreach activities that strive to achieve the financial goals and vision of the Trust. When not at work, this native Oregonian enjoys exploring the varied northwestern landscape, from the Cascades to the Pacific.
Denise Richards

Denise Richards has been with the Greenbelt Land Trust since 2010 as an Administrative Assistant. She has an Associates Degree in Behavioral Sciencefrom San Diego Community College. She worked in administrative and/or office management related capacities for over 20 years. Denise has been in semi-retirement since 2008 after a horse related accident. Her interest in Greenbelt Land Trust stems from successful easements on properties with her spouse Ed Rust. In addition to working at Greenbelt part-time, Denise is busy with her Chapter of a National Organization; 40 Something Cowgirls. Other interests include; bird watching, nature walks, reading and occasionally golfing with family.
Dan Rosenberg

Dan Rosenberg joined Greenbelt Land Trust in 2011 as Lands Coordinator. He holds a BS in Biology and Wildlife Science from Virginia Tech, and an MS and PhD in Wildlife Science from OSU. Dan is also Co-Director of the Oregon Wildlife Institute (OWI) and on the faculty of Oregon State University’s Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. He joined the GLT team to pursue his interest in protecting important conservation lands in the Willamette Valley. Dan and his wife enjoy all forms of outdoor recreation, maintaining a small farm, and being regularly entertained and exercised by their two Australian Shepherds.
