The 2010-2013 Development Plan defines the goals and strategies for building a stable, self-sufficient program to fund GLT’s operations. It draws from the direction of the Strategic Plan and places a layer of reality over that plan by defining the sources and strategies of funding to support programmatic activities. The Development Plan is a broad, general framework, with more specific implementation details developed in the Staff annual work-plan.
For 2010-2013, the Development Plan outlines a strategy for building stronger relationships with major donors, extending targeted outreach to potential members, and diversifying grant revenue to support the operational capacity of the organization. The Development Plan is adaptive and will be reviewed on an annual interval by the Fundraising Committee and development Staff.
Vision 2016
The Greenbelt Land Trust envisions a future where significant natural
areas are protected, with forests, farmlands, wildlife corridors, hills,
meadows, wetlands and watercourses weaving through and around
our mid-Willamette Valley communities. These areas contribute to a
distinct sense of place, secure our sense of community and provide a
connection to the natural world.
The 2011-2016 GLT Strategic Plan lays out a five-year road map defining the organization’s role, position and key initiatives regarding land conservation in the Mid-Willamette Valley. The Strategic Plan establishes clear goals, program activities and a strategic direction for the coming years.
The GLT currently has 5 program areas:
1. Land Protection
2. Stewardship
3. Organizational Capacity
4. Connecting People to Nature
5. Partnerships
